Bayou Resort is nestled in a forest of oak, hickory and conifer trees. We are located off Highway 101 at the end of a paved county road. A full service marina 1/4 mile away offers slip rentals, boat rentals, and a public hard surfaced launch ramp with courtesy dock.

Resort Cabins, Cottages
We have various sizes to suit different guest needs. Our cabins have queen (new!) or double beds and sleep 2 to 4 people. Our 2 bedroom cottages have queen (new!), double and single beds and sleep up to 7 people. Our family mobiles sleep up to 7 with all the comforts of a home away from home. All our units have a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishes, pots & pans, toaster, drip coffee maker, and microwaves. We furnish all your linens for the beds, bath and kitchen along with dish and bath soap. Outside there is a BBQ grill and a picnic table. All have heat, air conditioning, and color Satellite TV with HBO & Cinemax. The only things you need to bring are your clothes, beach towels and food. There are many families who meet here for their vacation. We have a large covered patio and deck to host small events or parties.

Our Store and Office
Located at the office is a little store where you can pick up those items you might have ran out of or forgotten to pack. We have a variety of food, tackle and bait to choose from to make your stay more comfortable. We have maps of the lake and surrounding area to help you find your way. If you wish to hire a fishing guide, there are many on the lake and we can help find the right one for you. With prior permission, small pets are allowed in the resort cabins. Puppies (1 year or less) are never allowed at the resort.

Resort Grounds
On the grounds of the resort, we offer a swimming pool where the family can sun bath or swim. There is a playground with a fort and sandbox, tetherball, basketball and horseshoe pits. We have a recreation room with air hockey, pool table, games for kids, a coffee station for mom and dad with a microwave for your convenience. Snacks may be purchased in the store right next door!
On the grounds, there's always a good chance of seeing some local wildlife.

Dining and Local Activities
There are many fine restaurants locally and in the town of Mountain Home, which is only 16 miles from the resort. We can give directions and suggestions to help you decide. There is fast food, fine food and casual restaurants (some with great views of the lake). Lake Norfork is a beautifully clear lake, good for fishing and water sports. Water-skiing, tubing, jet skiing, jumping off the cliffs, scuba diving, or just swimming in the clear water, whatever your pleasure, we are sure you will enjoy Lake Norfork.

Other Things To Do While Visiting
You might want to take one day to see the surrounding sights and attractions of the Ozarks. You’ll find golf courses in Mountain Home (one which is tournament level). There's miniature golf, too. There are movie theaters and many craft and antique shops close by. You'll find float trips on the Norfork and White Rivers, The Norfork Dam and Fish Hatchery is about 30 minutes away. We are only 50 minutes from historical Old Hardy town. The Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, AR and Blanchard Springs Caverns are about an hour drive. About two hours away are Branson, Missouri, music shows, Silver Dollar City, White Water, Shepherd of the Hills, and Eureka Springs (a craft heaven). There are hiking trails too. We can help direct you to any one of these fun filled places.
